COVID Testing Automation Platform
Rapidly developed front-end to automate random COVID testing schedules for Tyson Foods associates, while transitioning to a hybrid work schedule.
Overview
In 2021, as Tyson Foods moved associates to a hybrid work schedule, it needed to run random COVID testing across its workforce. Scheduling that fairly and at scale had to be automated, and it had to be done quickly.
My role
I rapidly built the front end in React, working with a Node.js and PostgreSQL back end: random selection of associates, automated scheduling with calendar integration, email notifications, compliance tracking and a reporting dashboard, built with HIPAA compliance in mind.
Outcome
The platform went from start to launch in about six weeks, between March and April 2021, automating random test selection and scheduling.
